European Commission launches €23 million call for proposals to combat long-term unemployment

On Thursday 18 April, the European Commission launched a call for proposals with a budget of €23 million to help EU Member States develop new methods of combating long-term unemployment and helping people back into the labour market, according to a press release.

This initiative was announced in the recent action plan to tackle labour and skills shortages in the EU.
