Luxembourg’s updated draft 2024 budget may not be in line with EU Council guidelines, says Commission

18/04/2024 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 18 April, the European Commission took the view that Luxembourg's updated draft budget for 2024 may not be in line with the budgetary guidelines laid down by the Council of the European Union in July 2023. In its view, the increase in net primary expenditure financed at national level will not respect the maximum recommended growth rate (ceiling of 4.8%).
