Media Freedom Act officially published in EU Official Journal

18/04/2024 (Agence Europe) – The European regulation on media freedom was published in the Official Journal of the EU on Wednesday 17 April. This publication marks the start of the application of the various measures contained in the regulation, which will run until August 2025. The political agreement reached between the co-legislators last December was achieved after lengthy negotiations on the sections relating to national security and the surveillance of journalists.
